DrachenFest is always full of unexpected twists. Masses have gathered to honour the dragons with battles and mischief, but the great beasts do as they please. Some were burned to ashes by dragon fire, others were blown away by the wind from their mighty wings. Our sun-shade sail was among the latter, being completely torn in half after many, many years of loyal service to the clan.

But, as you all know, the motto of Maistri Marpurgi is ᚾᛅᚢᚦᛁᚾ ᚴᛁᚾᛁᚱ ᚾᛅᚴᛏᚱᛁ ᚴᚢᚾᚢ ᛅᚦ ᛋᛒᛁᚾᛅ. And we acted like that! If perhaps some of you forgot our motto, it translates to "Necessity teaches a naked woman to spin wool." So, since we desperately needed shade in the heat wave, we improvised and created a fort from the torn sail. A proper pillow fort, with bench walls and a drawbridge!
