Kvasir was created at the end of the war between the Aesir and Vanir tribe of gods. As an extremely wise being, he would travel far and wide, teaching and spreading knowledge, until he was killed by the dwarfs Fjalar and Galar. From his blood they made the Mead of Poetry. In the end the Mead was stolen by Odin.
